Dynasty Warriors: The Blade of Fate.

Episode 2, Lu Bu

He awoke the next morning, smiling to himself, and sat up. He looked down at the bed he was resting in. It was a nice soft bed. The framing made of bamboo. The blanket he slept under was a nice silk, and it was a shining gold. The pillows were so soft his head sunk in them. He fell back on his pillow laughing. His ribs hurting, his lip busted, but laughing. He was finally in Dong Zhuo’s palace!

Lu Xun, sat back up, and looked out the window. It was raining, thunder clashing, lightning putting on its light show. Lu flung his feet over the side of his bed. His gray pants were on, but his armor wasn’t. He had no shirt on, and his hat lay forgotten on a nightstand. Lu grabbed his hat, and put it on. He could imagine Zhang’s He’s face right now. Waking up to golden blankets, food waiting at bedside. Lu dug into his food at the thought of Zhang ripping his food apart.

When he finished, he looked back out the window. Not to faraway, Lance was fluttering his wings, keeping dry, and nibbling on a bloody, lifeless mouse. Compass and Ranger were most likely still out side of the gates. Lu screeched like a hawk, and Lance glanced up, dropped the mouse, and flew over to the window.

“How are you my friend? Would you like to take a letter to the Bandits for me?” Lu asked.

The hawk screeched with delight.

Lu wrote a quick message saying: Dear Bandits of the West.

Me and Zhang He have made it into the wretches palace. We will now let them take over the land, and then we will kill them. Taking over the land. Send Lance back, and give him a rat. He needs his strength. –King Lu Xun.

Lu tied the note around the hawk’s leg, and watched him fly away.

Lu was just lying back down, when the door opened a little. A girl’s head popped in.

“Oh, good! You are awake. I am Diao Chan.” She said.

“I am Lu Xun. Nice to meat you!” Lu said, staring at the girl. She had nice clothes on. None of the Bandit girls could afford that kind of clothing.

Diao Chan walked into the room.

“Your… Friend, is awake. And your horses are ready for you. When you want to leave.” She said.

“I planned on joining Dong Zhuo, in his- uh- battle for the three kingdoms!” Lu said.

“Oh! I shall tell him right away!” Chan was gone within a second.

Lu waited, then said, “Come in Zhang!”

Zhang He pushed the door open. “This place is huge!”

Dong Zhuo had planned a feast for that night. But he didn’t know that Lu Xun had sent a letter telling the Bandits to plan a sneak attack… to get things started.

So that night, Lu Xun sat down next to Diao Chan, and said, “So, what are these women called?” He pointed to the women dancing on stage.

“Enchantress.” Diao Chan answered.

“Ah.” Lu said, hoping to sound interested.

Then, a little red light caught Lu’s eye, and then a blaze of fire. Dong Zhuo was running for the exit. And Bandits were flooding the hall. SunShangXiang was slicing some random guards. Lu winked at her.

Then came the horror. Lu Bu came in and sliced the Bandits up like they were toothpicks.

His massive blade also hit SunShang.

Lu wanted to scream, but SunShang was being tied up by the hands.

After the chaos, Dong Zhuo ordered that they leave the palace at once. So Lu and Zhang mounted their steeds and rode with them. The army was now on the move. And SunShang was being held hostage. And Lu was the one that was taking her. Dong Zhuo made Lu carry her on his horse.

So, she leaned her head on his shoulder, and said, “Thank the heavens you are here!”

She just sat there the rest of the ride.

Lu got a better look up ahead.

“Bandit turf!” Lu whispered to Zhang.

Zhang nodded and rode up ahead, at the front of the march.

They were entering Silent Wood.

Zhang had came back and told Lu that Gan Ning and Lu Meng planned on ambushing Dong Zhuo, and take SunShang back. Zhang said he was not seen, or bothered with while whispering to the two.

“So… It will be a fight!” Lu said, looking over at the bushes.
